Renewed Illusions, a spirit of collaboration and commitments to advance the development of the sector

The Fifth Nautical Congress has introduced important developments in the perception of nautical, both in institutions and in political formations at national level, this is one of the main conclusions of this fifth edition of the event. The sensitivity of politicians to the sector has changed and the Congress has clearly shown itself. We have heard them express themselves with the messages that since ANEN, as the employer of the sector, we have been claiming and which are part of the DNA of the sector: the nautical has an enormous potential to contribute to the economic development of our country and to the generation of employment.

In Palma, the headquarters of the Congress last week, the public's response has been extraordinary, concentrating a capacity to overflow the organization's expectations, and a highly satisfactory level of involvement. This image of a united sector is the one that the representatives of the Administration and the political parties, present at the event, have been able to observe.

The nautical has come out of anonymity and is present in the debate photos, political and social, is a fact. The sector must take advantage of this historic moment, strengthen institutional relations, make itself visible and insist on its demands. ANEN continues in this line of work, especially when in this Fifth Nautical Congress, it has taken up this mandate and it has been found that the work of lobby developed since the Association is taking place in our rulers.

During the Congress, water has been spoken of as an emerging sector. Of course, among other factors, the emergence of digital transformation is giving way to the diversification of business, in line with the evolution of other sectors of greater weight in our economy. It has also become clear that training is essential, there is a high demand for qualified professionals in the sector, and the improvement of the water vocational training system can be considered as an alternative to combating the high rate of youth unemployment and drop-out.

The Fifth Nautical Congress was closed with an extraordinary general feeling, renewed illusions, spirit of collaboration, commitments by all who are somehow linked to this sector and many expectations, which will bear fruit only if the sector continues to work hard and maintain the feeling of being a great team. This is the spirit, Juanma Ituri said it during her stellar performance on the first day of the event, and she is absolutely right.
