Harbour Technical Services - Varadero Palma de Mallorca will have the concession until May of the year 2026

The Board of Administration of the Harbour Authority of the Balearic Islands (APB) decided yesterday to authorize the company Harbour Technical Services (STP) to modify the administrative concession of which it is the holder. This amendment consists of the incorporation into the existing concession of an area in the public land-based maritime domain of 24,422 m2, of which 14,743 m2 correspond to land area and 9,679 m2 correspond to water mirror and the extension of the initial period of the concession in 5.4 years. With this extension of the deadline, the new date of completion of the concession is set in May 2026. The concessionaire's investment commitment amounts to six million four hundred four thousand six hundred and seven hundred and forty-four cents (€6,404,617.44). Among the proposed investments is the acquisition of a new 900 TN travelift that will be added to the existing ones and that will increase the capacity of ship-bearing in this facility. (Currently the ceiling was 700 TN). In addition, a new boat repair pit will be built and the 150 Tn travelift will be replaced by a new, modern one with the same capacity, but better performance. They also highlight investments in measures to improve the surface water collection network and in the facilities for its treatment and purification that improve the environmental quality of the services provided in these port facilities.
