José Jaubert, president of the Spanish Confederation of Nautical Clubs Associations, presented in Palma the third symposium of these non-profit entities, to be held in Alicante from 5 to 7 October

The annual congress of the National Association of Nautical Enterprises (ANEN), which is held these days at the Caixa Forum in Palma with the participation of numerous professionals from the sector, has hosted this noon the presentation of the III National Symposium of Nautical Clubs, which will take place from 5 to 7 October in Alicante under the organization of the Spanish Confederation of Nautical Clubs Associations (CEACNA). The event was attended by the president of CEACNA, José Jaubert; the coodinator of the congress, Victor Montero; the president of the Association of Nautical Clubs of Balearic Islands, Miquel Suñer; the president of ANEN, Carlos Sanlorenzo, and the general director of the Merchant Marina, Rafael Rodríguez Valero, who confirmed his presence as a lecturer at the symposium with the president of State Ports, José Llorca.

José Jaubert has explained that the Nautic Clubs Symposium has been consolidated as a biannual event that "creates expectations" in the nautical sector and allows to share "management experience" between the different clubs and other port operators. "In addition, he added, this meeting allows us to enhance relations with public administrations and to disseminate the model of the nautical clubs, non-profit entities that serve as a platform for access to the sea and the nautical activities for many people in Spain." In the opinion of the President of CEACNA, it is very important that the clubs have good "legislative" knowledge to deal with the processes of renewal of their concessions with guarantees. Jaubert has stressed that "if we do not consolidate our position, we risk disappearing as clubs." CEACNA considers that nautical clubs are "the guarantors of nautical sport as social, economic and even tourist value," and over the last few years it has noted an increase in the interest of administrations in the work they do.
