Two more tests for all classes have ended on Tuesday February 28 to the tenth edition of Andalusian Olympic Week, which has been held since last Saturday in the waters of the Gaditana Bay. Carnival on the ground and also at sea for a test that leaves four new Spanish champions and many other absolutes that already go up to the side of the qualifying race for the formation of pre-Olympic teams. The bay of Cadiz said goodbye to the participants with the most windy day of the four, measuring 10 knots of medium intensity in the two areas of race directed by Javier Escolano (Laser and Finn) and Carlos Muñoz Villareal (tables RS: X).

Pastor, who won another test at the farewell, achieved the double by winning the absolute and the national, escorted in the winning drawer by the Swiss Mateo Sanz and the Polish Pawel Tarnowski, in charge of scoring the seventh and last victory of the day and the championship. The podium of the Spanish championship is completed by the shooting Sergi Scandell and the Andalusian Juan Manuel Moreno (Vistahermosa) fourth and sixth absolute, respectively and in the case of Moreno, the autonomous champion. Also within the top ten, the canary Angel Granda in the tenth absolute and fourth Spanish place.

Blanca Manchón fired with a 4th and a 2nd and is the new Spanish champion of RS: X Feminino, signing the seventh absolute square in the first test after her recent maternity. The absolute trophy in this class is as expected for Russian Stefania Elfutina with another rostrum at the farewell.

In Laser Radial he followed the tone of the last days, with many changes in terms of the male Spanish championship, with three different leaders in these days and the title definitely at the hands of the regatist of the Catalan Marcelo Cairo national champion, tied to points with the bat Rafael de la Hoz and the Tinerfeño Alfonso Fernández. For its part, the Canaria Martina Reino was one day holding the lead in women to enjoy being the best Spanish and to sign an extraordinary fourth absolute square. The absolute victory lies with Belgian Emma Plasschaert, followed by her compatriot Evi Van Acker and Swiss Maud Jayet.

It was again done by young Aurelio Terry (CN Sevilla) so that there will be no doubt of his superiority among the Young people of RS: X and with two new victories, the young portuense proclaims himself absolute champion and does so with a wide income and after a performance that speaks for himself. He is escorted on the podium by the Polish Kamil Ugniewski and the Catalan Ferran Garcia, and at the doors, in a meritorious fourth place ends the great canary windsurfer Javier Rodríguez. Also within top ten, Nico Fores and Guillem Segu of Salou; Jan Sanfeliu of Altafulla, and the canary Magui Suarez, second woman after Polish Lidia Sulikowska, sixth absolute.

In the Laser Standard class, the victory of the Luso Rui Silver, followed by the Polish Filip Ciszkiewicz, is confirmed, while the third place changes and passes definitely to the Belgian Sam Vandormael. The Copa de Andalucía wins the onubense Guillermo Flores (CDN Punta Umbria) from the seventh place with an absolute performance more than meritoria considering that this was the first race of the Andalusian after its column operation last year, so Flores proves to be prepared to get to work hard. The onubense was today superior to its rival and partner, Socrates Fernández (CN El Trocadero), who ends a position below.

In Laser 4.7, the Andalusian Manuel Olero (RCN of El Puerto de Santa María) confirmed that his climbing to the first square was more than lucky and he proclaims himself absolute champion, winning the sixth test and scoring a fifth in the final. Two points separate him from the Catalan Javier Amondarain, who would have needed more than the discard of an off-line to win, and closing podium to six points from the leader, the female champion, the Belgian Anna de Bruycker. Two other Andalusians are seen in the top ten, with the seventh and eighth place at the hands of Dario Sánchez, the CN El Trocadero, and Curro Pavón, the RCN of El Puerto de Santa María, respectively.

At the podium doors the Andalusian also, of the RCN Motril, Alvaro Ballesteros, is classified.

27 / 02 / 2017: Pastor-Manchón (RS: X) and Garzia-Kingdom (Laser) command in the National in Cadiz

The third day of the Spanish championships of RS: X and Laser Radial, included in the Andalusian Olympic Week - Carnival Trophy was complete, in which leaders Ivan Pastor and Blanca Manchón remain in RS: X and arrive first to the final day Leandre García and Martina Reino in Laser Radial.

Three first of the Alicantino Ivan Pastor among the male fleet of RS: X leave this class rather sentenced to the last day. The Spanish representative in the last four Olympics amounts to 4 points of his four and the discard of the only sleeve he has let escape so far. He is followed by seven points plus the Swiss Mateo Sanz, and to ten the shooting Sergi Scandell. The third in the fight for the Spanish championship remains the local Juan Manuel Moreno (Vistahermosa) that holds the seventh square by validating a 7th and a 4th scored on this day. After many months without sailing, Moreno must start working hard for his sports project with a view to Tokyo.

Among the girls, the victory of Blanca Manchón in the first test on Monday was a waste of quality and merit, considering that the Sevillian just eleven weeks ago she was the mother of her first son. The world pentacampeone ran the starting line until it reached the dream position to start the test in the head and not to leave that position until the end, keeping a lot of distance from the rest. With this victory and a 7th in the next test (in the last one the saber is broken and it is removed) the sevillana manages to rise as the foam and to place itself eighth absolute and more leader of the Spanish championship. The podium remains in the hands of the visitors, with the Russian Stefania Elfutina first, followed by the English Emma Wilson, with a little each, and the Norwegian Maria Mollestad in the third place. It also goes up and, in its case, almost twenty places, the windsurfer of the CN Puerto Sherry, Pilar Lamadrid, who takes away the spinite of a bad premiere with three good partials, 6th, 5th and 7th, with which is placed tenth absolute and second Spanish.

Impressive again the young portuense Aurelio Terry (CN Sevilla) between the Youth fleet, with two victories to which he arrived after a fourth that he knew a little. Terry raises the four positions that separated him from his head and places absolute leader and does so with the authority that gives him the eleven points of return with the Poles, Kamil Ugniewski and Lidia Sulikowska, tied in second and third place. At the podium doors are the rest of Spanish candidates for the title, to which the host has ended up leaving behind himself by overcoming himself. In the fourth place is the canary Javier Rodríguez, followed by the Catalans Nico Flores, Guillem Segu and Jan Sanfeliu, and the canary Magui Suarez.

The third is the end of the day, and today the two regatta areas of the 12th Andalusian Olympic Week have been maintained at full performance - XVII Carnival Trophy, to meet the plans of the third and penultimate day and to hold three tests for all classes, except the Laser 4.7 that competed in two. In the absence of a day for the end, some surprise like the changes of leaders in Laser Radio, class that decides the champions of Spain 2017, and joys by the host fleet that reaches the absolute leadership in two classes. Today was a more windy day than the previous ones, with 8 knots of average intensity in the two areas of race in which the fleet is ordered close to 300 athletes from 25 countries.

Barefoot of the Galician Roberto Bermudez de Castro in Laser Radial, a class in which the sportsman of the Coruña loses many positions and places himself the tenth absolute and fourth Spanish. The young man has signed a 34th in a sleeve that has been forced to rule out being able to validate only a 14th and an 11th. The absolute leadership remains in the hands of the Belgian Emma Plasschaert, winner of one of the three tests of the day, followed now by the Swiss Maud Yayet, who won the other two. Separated by two points, tomorrow's will be an intense struggle between these two athletes. The third absolute position is for the new leader of the Spanish Championship Male, Leandre García, of Cambrils, who tomorrow will have to tune to stay on a podium that occupies a point of advantage over the fourth, and to avoid the assault of his main national rival, the Tinerfeño Alfonso Fernández, who is sixth with six points more than the Catalan. He also changes his hands the leadership among the women, with an inopportune off-line that marks the descent of the Catalan Cristina Pujol to the tenth absolute and second Spanish position behind the canaria Martina Reino, new leader of the Spanish championship from the eighth absolute square with two first sleeves in which he scored a second and a third, decisive to fight for the goal.

In the Laser Standard class, the luso Rui Silvera ties a little more the first place and rents five points to the Polish Filip Ciszkiewicz, while the third place also remains in the hands of the Portuguese Eduardo Marques after this penultimate day. Changes in the Andalusian cup of the class, in which the new leader is Socrates Fernández, of the CN El Trocadero, which is placed a position and a point ahead of the onubense Guillermo Flores (CDN Punta Umbria). Emotion also in this outcome between two great athletes, ninth and tenth absolute.

In Laser 4.7, the only class that did only two tests, the Andalusian Manuel Olero is placed in the head with a 3rd and a 1st against a 1st and a fatal off-line of the today leader, the regatist of Salou, Javier Amondarain, who goes down to the fourth place despite having three first in four tests. Oclero, a regatist of the RCN of El Puerto de Santa María, savors the title with almost ten points away with Francisco Pérez (CN Fuengirola), who returns to the podium, and the Belgian Simon de Gent, tied in second and third place, respectively.

And finally in Finn, the Andalusian Olympic subchampion, Rafa Trujillo, remains third behind the Estonian Karpak and Turkish Kaynar, who once again shared the many of this day.

Tomorrow, three tests are planned to leave the four new national champions (RS: X and Radio Laser classes) and the absolute champions in all classes. After the day at sea, awards are held at the facilities of the Specialized Centre for Sports Tecnification of Vela Bahia de Cadiz (CETDV), headquarters of the Andalusian Federation of Vela, in El Puerto de Santa María.

Impressive Terry's performance that taught letters by winning the first test and signing a ninth in the next one, allowing him to command over the national fleet and make clear his options of absolute triumph with much race even ahead.

Among the women, the first podium is for the visitors and in the head is the Russian Stefania Elfutina, winner of one of the tests of the day, followed by the English Emma Wilson and the Polish Agnieszka Bilska. The other great favorite of the national title, Pilar Lamadrid, from Puerto Sherry, will have to tune tomorrow to take off an off-line on the premiere and improve a 20th on the second and last sleeve of this Sunday. For the moment, Lamadrid is 29th.

In the Laser Standard class, the Luso Rui Silvera rises two posts to the first one after scoring two second on this day and apes the Polish leader Filip Ciszkiewicz, now second with two more points. With one more test, the yellow and blue groups of the Radial Laser class join together to create a single classification, in which the Galician Roberto Bermudez de Castro (RCN Coruña) loses for one point the first absolute position although he retains the lead in the Spanish championship from the second square. The Galician today signed a 6th in front of a 1st of the Belgian Emma Plasschaert, new leader in the joint general whose podium completes the Catalan Cristina Pujol (CN Port D'Aro), the first Spanish, the three in three points. Equality follows the doors of podium, with the Tinean Alfonso Fernández fifth with only two points more than the Galician and tied with the English Alison Young, absolute fourth. The following Spaniards are not far away either in posts or points, with Catalan Marcelo Cairo and Mallorquín Pep Cazador five points from Fernández tied in seventh and eighth place, respectively. For her part, the Sevillian Ana Moncada pays a day to forget and goes down to the 32nd absolute and sixth place of the Spanish championship.

In Laser 4.7, also with one more test, the regatist of the CN of Salou, Javier Amondarain, is still leading, followed now by the Belgians Simon de Gent and Dries Van Hoye. The next Spanish is the Andalusian Manuel Olero, of the RCN of El Puerto de Santa María, which falls from the podium to the fourth square with a 6th but rents the same points as the third. He also loses the podium the regatist of CN Fuengirola, Francisco Pérez, which goes down to the sixth place with a 12th in today's test.

At the podium doors with only two more points than Trujillo is the also Andalusian Alvaro Ballesteros, of the RCN of Motril. More Monday.

Day 1, 25 / 02 / 2017: First complicated day in Cadiz

Complicated start for the Andalusian Olympic Week that is held until Tuesday day 28 in the waters of the bay of Cadiz, with a first day in which the wind has barely given to draw the first passes in the Laser and Finn classes, leaving the RS: X tables on the ground, for which the premiere will be expected one more day. More than a hundred windsurfers with the Spanish championship at stake were left with the desire to go out to compete in the face of an insufficient wind for them. The almost two hundred Laser did, although they only celebrated a test that had to be shortened for the Laser class 4.7 and one of the two groups in which the Laser Radial class had to be divided in the face of the numerous fleet, a class that also seeks national titles.

In this class, the first leaders of the Spanish championship are the Galician Roberto Bermudez de Castro (RCN Coruña), first absolute, and the Andalusian Ana Moncada (CN Sevilla), fourth absolute and first female in the Azul Group, and the Tinerfénean Alfonso Fernández (CN Tenerife), second behind the British Alison Young, and the Catalan Cristina Pujol (CN Port D'Aro), second female and fourth absolute in the Yellow Group. After the RCN of La Coruña, the Andalusian Antonio Coronilla (CN El Trocadero) and the Russian Danil Krutskikh entered. In the case of the yellow, the third temporary position is for the athlete of CN Cambrils, Leandre García.

His main rival at home is after this test the athlete of the CN El Trocadero, Socrates Fernandez, who is placed two posts below and three ahead of Miguel Moncada, of the Nautico Sevilla.

In Laser 4.7 the test had to be shortened in the face of the wind and was won by the regatist of the CN of Salou, Javier Amondarain, followed by the regatist of the CN Fuengirola, Francisco Pérez, and by Manuel Olero, belonging to the RCN of El Puerto de Santa María. Among the first ten were Gonzalo Blanco, from Almerimar; Curro Pavón, from the RCN of El Puerto de Santa María, and Jose María Muguruza, from the CN Elcano, eighth, ninth and tenth in this order.
