300 regatists from 23 countries share targets in Gaditan waters between 25 and 28 February.

The 17th edition of the Andalusian Olympic Week, XVII Carnival Trophy, which includes ten classes: RS: X, the Olympic mode of windsurfing, in its versions Male, Female and Juvenile, Male and Female; Male and Female Radio Laser and the Olympic Women's Radio Laser, Laser Standard and Finn, and the Laser class 4.7 Male and Female; it is part of the Spanish Olympic Circuit, being held in waters of the bay of Cadiz del 25, in the city of Cadiz, and in the centre of Cadiz de Cadiz, is organized by the University of Valencia (the city centre of Cadiz).
A few hours after the official start scheduled for this Saturday at one o'clock in the afternoon, the registration is about three and a half hundred regatists from 23 countries, including Olympic medallists, world and Spanish champions and the main exponents of the different regions of our country. The Gaditan race is included in the lot of key tests at the start of a new Olympic cycle facing Tokyo 2020, this is the reason for the presence of consecrated and also of emerging champions. For its organization, the Andalusian Vela Federation employs 30 people between land and water committees and 60 volunteers.
The largest participation is in the RS: X and Rial Laser classes, where the best specialists in our country who will search for national titles in Gaditan waters are joined by a very important foreign participation. Among the first, the Alicantino four times Olympic, Ivan Pastor, heads the list of candidates together with the baleares Joan Cardona and Sergi Scandell, the canary Ángel Granda, the Catalans Guillem Segu and Ignasi Segado or the Andalusian Fernando Lamadrid, Borja Carracedo and Juan Manuel Moreno, who retakes the competition after a long time apart, starting at home their new project to be the Olympic representative in Tokyo. In females, the host Pilar Lamadrid and Blanca Carracedo are in favour of the national podium and both will have fun sharing with a foreign fleet against which they will have to claim their best knowledge of the environment.
In the Laser Radial class, Andalusian first row such as Antonio Coronilla, Andrés Gutiérrez Pera, Aier Torres, Armando Campoy or Arturo Martínez Moratilla, they will fight for the national handicap in front of canaries, Catalans, Valencians or baleares, and in females, those of house have in Ana Moncada the main baza in front of regatists of the level of the Catalan Monica Azón or the Canaria Martina Reino. By ending with the Laser, the youngest 4.7, Andalusian such as Manuel Olero, Jose Antonio Sánchez, Curro Pavón or Eva López will have the main opposition in Catalan and Belgian.
Finally, in the Finn class, the test has one of the best Spanish athletes, the Andalusian Rafael Trujillo, natural of La Línea de la Concepción. The four-time Olympic, silver medal in 20024, Olympic diploma in 2000 and 2008, world champion in 2007 and the master world in 2016, will have in front of a fleet that stands out more for its quality than for the quantity, with young people who are stepping hard as the same Andalusian, Motril, Alvaro Ballesteros, and those who Trujillo points out as very complicated rivals: the Turkish Alican Kaynar and the Estonian Dennis Karpak.
