URAG operates with a fleet of 18 state-of-the-art tugs and serves in seven German ports

Boluda Corporación Marítima has acquired 100% of the German trailer company URAG and its subsidiaries - URAG International and L & R -, a company that has a fleet of 18 tugs, both port and offshore, service in 7 ports and has a staff of 140 people. The firm of the business purchase has taken place in the German city of Hamburg, between Vicente Boluda Fos and Vicente Boluda Ceballos and Klaus Thesenfitz, president and owner of Linnhoff, sales company. This acquisition is strategic for Boluda Corporación Marítima as it is located in important German ports, such as Hamburg, the second in Europe, or Bremenhaven, the fourth most important European port site. This business operation is part of the expansion programme Boluda Towage and Salvage, which already has implementation in France, West Coast of Africa, Indian Ocean, Latin America and the Caribbean. For the management of this new company, Boluda Corporación Marítima has created the company Boluda Deutschland, which will be in charge of the administration of the German companies, which include the subsidiaries, their fleet and the 140 professionals, between crew and ground personnel, with which URAG has so far. In addition to the important ports of Hamburg and Bremenhaven, service will also be provided in Bremen, where the company's centre is located, as well as in the port sites of Brake, Cuxhaven, Nordenham and Willhelmshaven. The 18 tugs of the German fleet are state-of-the-art ships, which reach 100 tons of fixed-point shooting and are specialized in port trailer, offshore off and sea rescue. URAG is an important European company, with 126 years of history, and was founded to meet the demand for goods traffic that the Weser River experienced, in its passage through the city of Bremen, in the late 19th century. Since then, it has continued to evolve and specialize, being currently one of the most important German trailer companies, with a fleet of state-of-the-art ships and a strategic deployment in the most relevant ports of Germany. L & R, a 181-year-old company, operates in the Elbe River and the port of Hamburg.
