The 13th edition of the legendary Cafe Road will begin in the Gala city of Le Havre on November 5, the Transat Jacques Vabre... before Saturday, October 28, Le Havre will be immersed in a series of celebrations that will last just a week... at the end of the fleet that will be divided into four classes will set a course for Salvador Bahia in Brazil. According to Xavier Mitjavila, president of JDE France and the Transat Jacques Vabre association: "The 2017 edition of the Transat Jacques Vabre marks the return to a historic and emblematic land of coffee, which has already hosted several regatta arrivals, and which has already celebrated the winners of the Coffee Route from 2001 to 2007... in 2017, the regatta will again be a key event for the inhabitants of Le Havre who carry in their heart the regatta after more than 20 years... this will put point and end to a week of party, to which we have named" A summer in Le Havre, 2017, scheduled from 27 May to 5 November and organized for the 500 years ". The race is attended by ships of Class 40, Multi50, IMOCA and Ultimate classes. Each of them will have its winning duo and all participants will be welcomed to the sound of the Brazilian samba and rhythms.
