Attractive programming of one of the references of the Spanish candle: the Monte Real Club de Yates de Baiona

The School of Sailing of Mount Real Club of Yates of Baiona organizes a new course of initiation to light sail for children between 7 and 12 years of age who want to learn to navigate and enjoy the sea in Baiona Bay. The activity, for which the registration deadline is already open, will be launched from next March. Although the classes are mostly practical, to learn how to perform maneuvers and make decisions at sea, they also include theoretical knowledge so that young people can become familiar with the nautical nomenclature, the parts of the boat and its operation, and the basic concepts of sailing.

The course will be held in the facilities of Mount Real Club de Yates, located on the grounds of the National Parador Conde Gondomar, and the navigation will be carried out in the waters of the Baionese Bay. In addition to a classroom for theoretical classes, the club has rooms for shower and change, and a storage room for all the materials and equipment provided to students. Over the past few years, hundreds of children from all over the Val Miñor region have been through the Monte Real facilities to participate in some of the courses of the School of Vela, in which, in addition to receiving nautical training, they can share experiences with other partners while enjoying good times at sea.
