The "Sup Race" modality has been no longer a novelty in the summer months. This is illustrated by the increase in federal fact sheets received each year by the Spanish Federation of Surfing. As a result of this increase in the number of practitioners, the number of competitions that have been held throughout the national territory has increased. This year the number of evidence submitted reached quarantine. Therefore, the Federation, through its technical committee, decided to reorganize all the tests around the different territories that make up the Spanish state. In 2017 the "Sup Race" tests will be distributed around the Spanish Cup of "Sup Race," and the National Leagues in five areas of Spain (North, Central, East, South and Canary), as well as the National Championships.

Each area will have its own ranking and its own winner... so that these leagues will be independent from each other and will have no value for the results of one region in others. On the other hand, the season will also have the already established Spanish Cup Fesurfing of Sup Race, in which it competes for being the most regular during the season, shares the same score criteria as its predecessor in 2016. The scores of the raiders will not be determined by the position in which they cross the goal, but by the time they perform the circuit. A more competitive and equitable method where the time used is rewarded, only the winner of it will have a plus of 100 points on the other competitors. The winner of this competition will be the result of the sum of all the tests held during the Cup (one test per area). In addition to the Leagues and the Cup, the already consolidated tests will also take place in 2017:

• Spanish Race Championships 2017, with Winter Championship and Summer Championship, the latter is also joined by the Spanish Championship for Autonomical Equipment.

• Spanish Cup of Fesurfing of Resistance: The tests that for their long distance or extreme features are gathered in this 5-stage cup.

• Spanish Resistance Festifing Championship 24 hours

• Spanish Championship Fesurfing of Speed on Track (200 m)

• Spanish Fesurfing Championship in distance Marathon (40 km)
