Last weekend the Spanish Federation of Surf together with the IOSUP (International Organization SUP), held in the city of Torrevieja, Alicante, the course that opened the new season of FES 2017 formations

First IOSUP International Monitor course of the 2017 season, held in Torrevieja left very positive sensations to both attendees and organizers. The courses and training are one of the tools that the Spanish Federation of Surf works every year to ensure the development of all those interested in linking their professional future to the world of Surfing. A further year is the beginning of training courses in different autonomous communities. These programs, which are designed to work with the Autonomous Federations of Surf, not only offer practical experience, but also help to develop a method of teaching and a great organizational capacity.

The training carried out in the city of Alicante was that of IOSUP International Monitor, taught by this organization. A 3-day course that its organizer, Fernando Labad, explained to us that "it is a course of specialization in SUP, it is a federal course in which this discipline of surfing is specifically addressed. The classes are taught first on-line and then a three-day face-to-face course in which topics as diverse as marketing in the SUP, methodology and improvement of the technique are played."

In addition, Labad commented on it, "this is a cross-sectional sport, and the course attendees are from surfers to divers, as many sectors want to include this discipline among the activities they offer in their schools. They all go with the feeling of having taken advantage of the time during the days that last," this course that has been taking place since 2009 has been the first of those that will be conducted throughout the first 6 months of the year.
