According to the specialized portal "Energy Observer" will make an expedition around the world for 6 years to promote renewable energy, without using a drop of fossil fuel. This catamaran will make a hundred scales between 2017 and 2022 in the ports of several of the most important cities in the world, both for its own economic and traffic projection, as well as for being historical places or being considered as enclaves in natural reserves. In an unprecedented mission, the ship combines several renewable energy sources to produce its own hydrogen from salt water and store it on board. Its objective is to allow a 100% energy-autonomous navigation, without emitting any greenhouse gas or small particles. The French port of Saint-Malo, will mean in spring the beginning of the expedition, being Victorien Erussard, navigator and official of the Merchant Navy, and Jérôme Delafosse, explorer and documentary maker, the crew on this journey. The ship was built in Canada in 1983. Originally of 24.38 m in length, it has been extended 4 times to a current length of 30.5 m, and 12.8 m in sleeve.
