A group of founding partners of the Real Club Náutico de Madrid in the spring of 1958: Beamonte, Riveras de la Portilla, Antonio Muñoz, Miguel Ópez-Dóriga, Juan Riglet and the architect who carried out the project: José Antonio Corrales Gutiérrez-Soto

The many nautical fans in the capital of Spain, began in the 50's a project in which the enthusiasm of some was contagious to others, the unforgettable Miguel López Dóriga recounts it in those far away years: "We made part of our idea to other good friends to whom we convinced and so the idea of the Club Nautico of Madrid arose... among all we chose the grimpolon of the Club: a white mask on the purple color of the pendón of Castile... we had the name and the grimpola... and from here the enthusiasm that did not make the few of the project that were made with the people."

In advance of the launch of the project, the proponents of the project, went through the swamps and rivers of the area, immediately looking into the swamp of San Juan, for estimating all that it was the best race field... the hydraulic use of the Alberche River caused the existence of a magnificent race field of about 15 km perfectly navigable, with a "wide" area of about two... and Madrid just 60 km away... The decision was immediately communicated to the leaders of the Hidrographic Confederation of the Tagus and to the municipality of San Martín de ValdeIglesias... from the very first moment the authorities saw the original initiative with good eyes and offered to the founders all kinds of facilities... in October 1958 in the halls of the Spanish Federation of Nautical Clubs, the foundational meeting is held, in which the entrance fee is set for the founding partners and it is agreed to start the project of building the social headquarters, for which the architect José Antonio Corrales Gutiérrez- Soto... is elected and at the time the first time the place of the stone... the club was set to go to the beginning of the 150.000.

After making headquarters a reality, efforts focused on the search for fans.

The first ships that establish their base in the Club, are a 505 and nine snipes... in the following spring the thirty sailing ships are reached. The arrival of water snipes from the north and north-west, or Palma, case of the vice president of the Club Riveras de la Portilla that is brought to San Juan to two units is constant. Alvaro de Urzaiz takes San Juan to the veteran in those years "Izarra" and Manolo beamonte does the same with the "Chubasco," while the Duke of Arion incorporates into the Madrid fleet the "Canuto," Pepe Gandarias to the "Lay III," Luis Vericat to the "Mosquito X": the fleet of snipes of the Náutico of Madrid becomes one of the most numerous in Spain... today the club based in San Juan has a large fleet of light sailing, among the many units of the slanes of the one of the one that stands out with the one of the many of the slanes of the 18.
