SENER will present in LNG Bunking 2017 its new LNG supply ship design
The SENER engineering and technology group will come to the LNG Bunking Summit 2017, which will take place from January 29 to February 1 in Amsterdam (Netherlands), where it will present a revolutionary design of a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) supply ship. The use of LNG as a fuel significantly reduces carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions and, in addition, virtually eliminates sulphur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen oxide (NOx) and polluting particles, thus providing a perfect solution for more environmentally friendly ships. SENER, as a company that is committed to this technology, has embarked on a double research project for the design, on the one hand, of a LNG propulsion vessel and, on the other, of a unit that supplies fuel to those LNG-powered vessels.
In this next edition of the LNG Bunking Summit, SENER will present this latest new design, in two versions of the ship. The first, with a supply capacity of 8,000 m3, has a length of 114.8 m, a sleeve of 20.4 m, a maximum continuous power (RCM) of 6,000 kw and has two supply tanks. The second, for its part, has a capacity of 4,000 m3, has a length of 85.35 m, a sleeve of 82.10 m, an MCR of 4,000 kw and is also equipped with two supply tanks. The LNG Bunking Summit brings together the main port leaders, terminal operators, shipowners, suppliers and LNG technologists to establish strategic partnerships and develop common strategies to strengthen the LNG supply market.
SENER develops engineering and construction services and projects, and makes industrial investments that contribute in the long term to the improvement and economic advancement of society. Our objective is to achieve a sufficient value increase to satisfy our own professionals, shareholders and financiers, as well as to make investments that contribute to the development of SENER. To this end, we are working to ensure sustained investment in R & amp; D, which is reflected in innovative work that provides differential solutions. Throughout its history, SENER has successfully carried out high-tech projects in Engineering and Construction - in the Aerospace, Infrastructure and Transport, Power, Oil & Gas, and Naval sectors - in Aeronautics and Energy and Environment.
SENER's motivation has always transcended the mere realization of immediate projects, with the desire to deepen knowledge, anticipate and progress in internationalization and solid growth. Its purpose is to provide more efficient and innovative solutions with high technological content, to move forward in the leadership position as multidisciplinary engineering and to carry out projects that mean new technological challenges. To this end SENER is based on the '3i: Innovation + Internationalization + Investment' strategy, where innovation is fundamental to achieving opportunities without geographical limitations.
