With the American Cup Event Authority (ACEA) announcement today, the Spanish Press team is officially within the Bull Youth America's Cup (RBYAC) Network, to be held in Bermuda from 12 to 21 June 2017. The Spanish Impulse team is supported by a large group of sponsors. Head of Iberostar, Air Europa, Rooster Sailing, Lip Sunglases, Joma and Toro de Osborne hotels and resorts. They also have the institutional support of the brand Spain and the Nautical Club of Cambrils.

After months of work and a strict selection process, the Spanish Impulse team will participate in Bermuda in the most important youth world sailing competition, the Red Bull Youth America's Cup. The team will be the only Spanish representative on this prestigious meeting. The crew is composed of the greatest talents of the national sailing; all of them between 19 and 25 years old, as the rules of the competition dictate. From Olympic regatists, Jordi Xammar and Diego Botín; world champions, Joel Rodríguez, Florian Trittel and Kevin Cabrera; European champions, Santiago Alegre and Spanish champions, Luis Bugallo and Joan Cardona. These regatists come from different points in Spain: Catalonia, Cantabria, Galicia, Andalusia, Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands. In the direction of the team is María del Mar de Ros and Alfredo Mella, as director of operations. A 100% Spanish team as required by the rules of Youth America's Cup. Currently, the Spanish Impulse team is immersed in the training plan on board the GC32 and other catamarans such as the Ventil M2, F18, Nacra 17 or Class A. This is combined with the Olympic preparation for the Tokyo 2020 Games of many of its members.

The Red Bull Youth America's Cup was born in San Francisco in 2013, with the aim of developing the new generation of talents that could compete in the American Cup. This is one of the events with the greatest media impact, along with the Olympics and the World Cup. In that first edition alone, almost 50 hours of television were achieved in more than 14 countries. The commercial hook that these new catamarans have (unlike the monocascos) is much greater, not only because of the speed at which they go (they can reach 70-90 km / h), but because they are catamarans, they can navigate very close to the coast, so that a greater audience can take advantage of the great show. The races have also been shortened (about 20 minutes), which can be done several sleeves ensuring the tension at all times. The team, which had to pass the selection tests of the America's Cup Event Authority, under the supervision of the sports director, Austrian Hans Peter Steinacher, will compete against 11 other representatives from 3 continents:
