In the past year, the number of nautical students working on ANAVE ships has increased

In 2016, the shipping companies associated with ANAVE embarked on their ships at least 249 nautical students, who completed a total of 34,218 days of boarding. In 2015, 243 students had embarked. In view of the fact that only those students who complete at least 3 months of practice each year are accounted for in these figures, the total figures are actually higher, estimated at least 40,000 days of practice in 2016. In addition, in view of the fact that in 2012 only 99 students, with a total of 13,116 days of boarding, were embarkated, the effort made by Spanish shipping companies, which have increased the number of trainees by more than 2.5 in only 4 years. The students of the schools and faculties of Nautics of Spanish universities need to perform a period of navigation practices to obtain the title of a bridge officer or machines. ANAVE has signed cooperation agreements with most of the Spanish universities which offer these degrees and which have contributed very positively to the increase in the number of embargoes in practice in recent years. On the basis of these agreements, Spanish shipping companies are demonstrating, year after year, their commitment to this training work.
