TransMediterranean wants to increase its collaboration with universities in 2017

In 2017 TransMediterranean will increase its collaboration with the Universities of Nautics to obtain degrees
Transmediterranean has embarked this year that ends about 60 students of Nautica to obtain their degrees, both from Puente and from Machines, becoming the shipping company with the most number of students aboard in 2016. Throughout the year, the company has had a daily average of 34 students from Nautica; and to date, it has on its ships 10 students from Machines and 22 others from Puente. For next year, the shipping company will increase the number of students per ship by 25%. Students at the Spanish Nautical Universities need to do practices to obtain the title of Pilot or Machinist, and Trasmediterranea offers them the opportunity to do so on one of their ships of cargo, passage or high speed. In the ships of Trasmediterranea, students from all the faculties of Nautica, from the universities of Cadiz, Politécnica de Barcelona, La Laguna, La Coruña, Gijón, Santander and Bilbao have been able to do practices in recent years. In addition, a high percentage of graduates who have passed through the ships of Trasmediterranea are now Covered and Machines Officers, with a good professional career. Trasmediterranea is the leader in the regular shipping of passengers and goods in the areas where it operates: Peninsula with Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Ceuta, Melilla, Morocco and Algeria. The company operates with a fleet of 21 ships (ferries, high speed and cargo ships).
